Japan satellite business Association was founded in 1985, as the Tokyo (Japan) chapter of the Society of Satellite Professionals International, now the Space & Satellite Professionals International (SSPI), headquartered in the United States. The chapter expanded in 1990, providing not only in branch activities, but in the development of satellite communication of Japan. As a non-profit organization made up of individual members who participate in a wide range of satellite activities in Japan, the chapter has been reorganized into "Japan Satellite Business Association".
